No Democracy Without Feminism is a series of audiovisual capsules released on International Working Women’s Day. The project was developed in collaboration with Emilia Martín and Celeste Rojas Mugica as part of the Memory and Feminism Programmatic Line of the Museum of Memory and Human Rights.

Episode 1: Dear Friends
Members of various feminist spaces read emblematic speeches delivered by women during the dictatorship, inviting others to organize and resist. The episode creates a connection between past resistance movements and present-day feminist activism.

Episode 2: Collective Voices: Memories in Resistance
Through a staged setting, women from Casa de la Mujer de Huamachuco reflect on their memories, the act of organizing, and their collective resistance through ollas comunes (communal cooking pots) during the dictatorship.

Episode 3: No + Because We Are More
A montage of visual and sonic materials that offers an audiovisual recovery of feminist demonstrations in public space, drawing parallels between the actions of collectives like Mujeres por la Vida and contemporary groups such as Las Tesis.
