Sound experimentation for Machina Sessions at the Museum of Art and Handicrafts of Linares, Chile (2022)
I was invited by the Machina Sessions collective to carry out a sound experimentation at the Museum of Art and Handicrafts of Linares, in southern Chile. Colectivo Machina focuses on amplifying the work of women and gender dissidents, aiming to create, disseminate, and decentralize the electronic scene connected to machines and technology.
For this session, I experimented with an electric bass played with a violin bow, a loop pedal, the first prototype of the Sonotropo, and an experimental instrument built from discarded materials, amplified through a contact microphone and accompanied by voice. I thoroughly enjoyed the session, it was calm, free of pressure or haste.
