The voice has broken the anchor that binds it to the body. In this new space, it is no longer one who speaks, but all, now it is a collective body that no longer identifies with any of the individuals it contains. “We speak to you as a chorus…”  This piece places the voice at the center of the performance.

A polyphonic swarm constructed through multiple disciplines that converge around questions such as: What happens when the voice abandons the human body? What is a body without a voice? What or who can claim to “have” a voice?

The performance includes projections, a chorus performing a requiem, live singing performers, and a cohesive design proposal that all come together on stage to challenge the notion of the voice as a phenomenon inherently tied to the idea of “man.”
